Champs update 30 Oct 2024
With the Dovedale Dash being cancelled this year, and it being one of the last races on the Club Champs calendar, it may be that some of you need another race to count to reach your 6 races. Therefore, we are giving you another opportunity to reach your 6.
You can put forward one Ashbourne parkrun run between now and the 16th November to count.
If you do run one of these and want it to count, please email FAO Kate the date of the run, your finishing position and the total number of finishers to ashbournerunning@gmail.com.

The following races will be part of the club champs this year. Races get full quickly so please make sure you enter any races you want to take part in. We will add information when we get it and please let us know if you spot any date changes / cancellations etc.

Championship Rules
Please find the list of qualifying races throughout the season above. Runners need to complete 6 races from the list to qualify (see note below). As in previous years, runners can enter and compete in more than 6 races if they wish, but it is only the best 6 results that will be counted for the overall results.
We are not using Age-Grading scoring this year and instead, you will be awarded a percentage score based on your finishing position in the field. If there were 300 runners and you were 45th, your score would be 45/300 (*100). The lower the score the better.
Note: parkrun and half marathon results are not included this year EXCEPT FOR ASHBOURNE REC PARKRUNS ON 2 NOV, 9 NOV AND 16 NOV - ONLY ONE OF THESE CAN COUNT FOR AN INDIVIDUAL
At the end of the season, we will award as follows:
1st, 2nd and 3rd Male / Female
1st Novice Male / Female.
The novice category is for runners who have not previously won the novice champs, not in 3rd place or above in the main champs and has joined the club in the last 3 years.
