Updated after Lathkill / Roaches
A good turnout at Lathkill saw some last minute challenge for the championships. Well, not really.
All the action was at the Roaches where James and Malc got into a scuffle in the kitchen, it can get tense when someone knocks into you with tea in your hand. Luckily the cake made it out ok and so did the best god damn Ashbourne vets that the Meerbrook village hall had ever seen (well, since last year).
We cant wait till next years events, if any of you have seen Rocky IV, Malc will be doing most of his winter training with logs and snow while James and Keith chase on in their old Mercedes. Apparently anyway.
Anyway, congrats to Emily and James, deserved winners.
And congrats to Val for winning the Novice champ and to Sarah for pushing her to the end.
Sadly the Male Novice category was not contested, even after Malc explained that he was still a novice, the rock will be ground down and sprinkled on DavePs cereal cos he's nails.
Final standings, only includes runners who competed in enough races, novice candidates in bold:
Name | Counting Events | Score |
---|---|---|
James McMurtry | 7 | 113 |
Keith Morgan | 7 | 175 |
Malcolm Busfield | 7 | 252 |
David Patrick | 7 | 351 |
Emily Sanders | 7 | 352 |
Howard Winbow | 6 | 234 |
Gary Wilson | 6 | 337 |
Val Playdon | 6 | 480 |
Sarah Bailey | 6 | 531 |

9 April 2019
The Rogue Fell Championship has started with the Mow Cop Hill race on 7th April. A great BM race which we need to support a bit more. Really friendly and runnable course. Much better start to the season than the Incline race (although we like that too)
