ASHBOURNE RUNNING CLUB – ‘TREASURE HUNT’

Organised by Alasdair Duncan from 10 Windmill Lane, with excellent food and drink provided by a very hard working Claire. 

Twenty eight runners put into teams - running pace and local knowledge taken into account as far as possible -  set off at one minute intervals.  Questions about Ashbourne, printed in random order, scored from 10 to 50 points.  Maximum 50 minutes with a 5 minute penalty for every half minute over this time.  

Postponed from the previous week because of very bad weather, there was much juggling of routes, times and mis-reading, but good fun was had by all despite the still icy pavements.

We are indebted to Alasdair and Claire for their hospitality and the very generous prize of bottles of wine and chocolates for the winning team.
