1 : NEW YEARS DAY HANGOVER 5 MILE ROAD RACE - 11am from the Derwent Hotel, Whatstandwell on the A6 between Belper & Matlock. Good lunches available

 

2 : SUNDAY 7 JANUARY : 12 noon - SHINING CLIFF WOODS FELL RACES (6.5 & 3.25mls) from the Hurt Arms, Ambergate - 2mls north of Belper on the A6

 

2 : WEDNESDAY 10 JANUARY : DERBY MIDWEEK RACES - one mile at 7pm & 5000m at 7.20pm from Horizons Health Club, East Service Road, off Raynesway, Derby (possibly the flattest 5km in England)

 

3 :WEDNESDAY 21 FEBRUARY : DERBY MIDWEEK RACES - one mile at 7pm & 5000m at 7.20pm from Horizons Health Club, East Service Road, off Raynesway, Derby (possibly the flattest 5km in England)

5 : SUNDAY 8 APRIL : 12 noon - SHINING CLIFF WOODS FELL RACES (5 & 2.5mls) from the Hurt Arms, Ambergate - 2mls north of Belper on the A6

 

6 : WEDNESDAY 18 APRIL :DERBY MIDWEEK RACES - one mile at 7pm & 5000m at 7.20pm from Horizons Health Club, East Service Road, off Raynesway, Derby (possibly the flattest 5km in England) - includes a 3 to score team race for the Matlock AC Trophy

 

7 : MONDAY 7 MAY : SOUTHWELL c5km TRAIL RACE - from the Newcastle Arms, Station Road, Southwell, Notts at 7.30pm. An ABSOLUTELY FLAT out and back course

 

8 - 11 : HILLY CLOTHING COMPANY TOUR of the DERWENT VALLEY - all 4 courses are 'quite' hilly and challenging and I actually ran (well, jogged) all four of them very slowly within 24hrs!!!!

 

8 : FRIDAY 25 MAY - 8pm - BRIDGE INN, DUFFIELD - 4.5m

9 : SATURDAY 26 MAY - 3pm - MARKET SQUARE, WIRKSWORTH - 4.2m

10 : SUNDAY 27 MAY - 10am - SOCIAL CLUB, MILFORD - 5m

11 : MONDAY 28 MAY - 10am - VILLAGE HALL, ROWSLEY - 4m

 

12 : SUNDAY 3 JUNE : 12 noon - SHINING CLIFF WOODS FELL RACES (5 & 2.5mls) from the Hurt Arms, Ambergate - 2mls north of Belper on the A6

 

13 : THURSDAY 2 AUGUST : 7.30pm - CHEVIN FELL RACES over 4.5mls and 2.2mls from the Social Club, Chevin Road, Milford - 1ml north of Duffield on the A6

 

14 : SUNDAY 26 AUGUST : 10am - BRADBOURNE VILLAGE FELL RACES over 6.5mls and 3.2mls from the Village Hall, Bradbourne - 4mls NE of Ashbourne. These are gentle races and ideal for beginners

 

15 :WEDNESDAY 5 SEPTEMBER : 6.30pm - ANNUAL DERBY CORPORATE 4 x 1 MILE from the Darley Park Cricket Club, Darley Abbey, Derby. No athletic club teams allowed but businesses, departments, families, voluntary organisations etc.

 

16 : THURSDAY 13 SEPTEMBER : 6.30pm - CHEVIN FELL RACES over 3mls and 1.5mls from the Social Club, Chevin Road, Milford - 1ml north of Duffield on the A6

 

17 : WEDNESDAY 19 SEPTEMBER : DERBY MIDWEEK RACES - one mile at 7pm & 5000m at 7.20pm from Horizons Health Club, East Service Road, off Raynesway, Derby (possibly the flattest 5km in England)

19 : SUNDAY 11 NOVEMBER : 10am : 18th ANNUAL HIGH PEAK RELAY on the 35ml out and back course along the High Peak Trail. HQ is Arkwrights Mill, Cromford, Derbyshire - just 3 miles south of Matlock on the A6

 

20 : WEDNESDAY 14 NOVEMBER : DERBY MIDWEEK RACES - one mile at 7pm & 5000m at 7.20pm from Horizons Health Club, East Service Road, off Raynesway, Derby (possibly the flattest 5km in England)

22 : THURSDAY 27 DECEMBER : 12 noon : QUEENS HEAD c5km ROAD RACE from the pub of the same name in Chesterfield Road, Belper, Derbyshire. Slightly undulating out and back course

 

23 : MONDAY 31 DECEMBER : 10am : THE LAST DUATHLON OF THE YEAR from the Social Club, Chevin Road, Milford - 1ml north of Duffield on the A6. Run 2ml - Bike 9.6ml - Run 2ml
