Highland Gathering Hill Race
The must do local hill race, challenging hilly course using Bradley Wood and surrounding area. Great sense of occasion, finishing in the Highland Gathering Arena. Enter on day.
Short course; with very steep climb after ½ mile, remainder of race on road, with long descent during second half of race. Small, friendly, well-organised race, which is normally very well attended by Ashbourne runners. Social pint in local pub afterwards. Entry on night.
Parwich Panoramic 5
Another great local summer run. The course follows the skyline around Parwich and Alsop-en-le-Dale, and will provide runners with a series of spectacular views around Parwich and Alsop. Anyone who would like to run, jog or even walk is welcome, as every entry will help with the Memorial Hall funds. Entry on night.
Calton Fell Race
Very hilly, scenic course, virtually all off-road except for first ¼ mile. Small, friendly, well organised race. An ideal introduction to hill/fell running.
Great refreshments in village hall afterwards. Entry on night.

Based in Derby. A very fast flat course on roads and good tracks, half urban, half rural. An ideal local race to try for a Personal Best. Early online entry essential.
Very popular (1300-1400 runners) local cross-country race. Fairly challenging course, including running through the river Dove. If you only do one cross-country race – do this one, runners of all abilities compete. Enter on day, but arrive early due to parking delays on occasions.
